Magnolia Lane Photography|Central Texas
This is such an amazing little town right outside of Temple. Before I knew about how quaint and timeless Salado was, I figured it was just another small Texas town on I-35. I have seen hundreds of these seemingly 3 mile long towns and dismissed it. It wasn't until I decided to go shopping with a friend in Austin and Salado is on the way. We decided to meet there and take one car. As I pulled off the exit and straight towards Main Street (I know, Main Street, very original) it reminded me of the one flashing light located directly in the middle of Vernonia's less than booming downtown area. But as I continued driving, Main Street opened up into this town I could never imagine. Cute shops and cafes, I knew I had to spend a day here taking pictures and exploring. A couple days later I went back. This was actually my first exploration day with my new gift to myself. Camera in tow, I set out on foot and found these great shots.
